Kaesra 04-11-2009, 07:48 PM I could as well have chosen to put this in another forum but I think this will be ok, I think it would good for us to know what we can put on the table for the time being with the members we have got, to see how much knowledge we do have.
I suggest every member comes here and tells:
-His/Her strengths (not talking about personnality but area of skill, its not like your not allowed to put personnality , its important too but you get what I mean.)
-Profession/Study
-Interests (cooking/music/football/plant life ?/sports)
-Knowledge of country/city/area(when someone wants to good on vacation for example)
-Languages (for translating)
-Etc etc.
Its kinda to see who's good at what, it will be good to know if someone has a request, to know where to go to or to know whether his request can be answerred.
I think it will come in handy, also for the technical team, bc we are for example looking for someone with Graphic knowledge(having watched porn a lot doesnt count , we mean graphic in another way :D) but it can be usefull for other stuff too
:Flashergirl:
artavile 04-11-2009, 08:35 PM Kasra jan,

- Interests: I absolutely love animanls (we have a dog and 2 cats and I'd get an Emu if Sammy let me - lol), been heavily into Trance and progressive music and I occasionally press a few keys on my Korg, but nothing you can call music. Also a big fan of mythology (like yourself) and sometimes spend hours on Wiki jumping from one article to the next on every topic you can think of. Other than that, I'm CRAZY about travelling and hanging out with good friends, whether on cybespace or in person. Oh yeah, I could be considered somewhat of a Football fanatic and until 3 years ago played in every Rec. league I could afford. ;)

By the way have you guys thought about creating an exclusive Facebook group or adding each other on Facebook?

raminio05 04-14-2009, 04:14 AM Artavile, haranin ooshagisan?

lol. It's really hard writing azari with english text.
Kaesra 04-14-2009, 07:04 AM Wow Kaesra, I never knew you were so young. You seem so mature for your age.
Yeah, I get that a lot, even from people that know me :D. I'm 18 but rough life has matured me prematurly. I dont like telling my age, bc people will jump to conclusions and use my age against me in arguments saying I just dont know life and I know normally they would be right, but I had my share. Anyway seems I'm the Benjamin here.:propeller: :Oldguy:

Bi-Honar 04-14-2009, 01:56 PM That's cool guys, I didn't know you guys were both Azari. I'm half Azari from my father's side (Khoy/Tabriz), but unfortunately never learnt to speak the language - I've always wanted to though, so myabe I'll pick up a few words from you guys. Definitely due for some good Shoorba or Kufteh Tabrizi - yum yum ;)
Kasra jaan, as I said before you are an extremely intelligent and mature guy and never let your age be a limiting factor in any way or for anything. I have met 18 year old's who have been much more mature than my 30 something friends, so age doesn't mean anything - at least to those who are mature enough to realize that. ;)
So many Azaris here, which naturally reminds me of a joke ;) :D

Bi-Honar 04-15-2009, 03:28 AM Good one Cia jaan and perfect timing. I'm doing coffeee with my mom tomorrow and she's a big fan of Azari jokes. :)
raminio05 04-15-2009, 10:01 AM lol at the joke
Kaesra, I know what you mean about people underestimating you because of your age. I usually don't give out my age for the same reasons. :)
Hamid jaan,
It looks like you and I are gonna have some good old Tabriz-Ardabil korkori going on at this site. Aghaye ardabil tootaheh. :D
Bihonar jaan,
Azari isn't hard at all. Just speak farsi with a thick accent and add words such as "iladah" and "gazanfar" to your sentences and you'll be speaking azari. :D

When did you guys start this thread? I totally missed it.
My profession is in software engineering and networking.
My interests have changed over the years. I used to watch a lot of soccer and other sports but having kids has changed that. I used to play chess but no time for it now.
I would still like a good puzzle.
I like playing card games if there is a good PA. Specially the ones that require some thinking like Shelem or Blout (sp?), Spades, and last but not least poker.
Kasra jan, if you happen to come to US, I can find a good job for you.

Rasoul jan that's one impressive resume bro.
As for Zanjan or ZanGaAn as most older people used to call, it really is a case of Shotor-Morg, most Azaires considered you guys sort of a CiCi turks, if you know what I mean. :)
I had missed this thread as well.
I also thought Kasra was much older. Cool man!! :)
Rasoul jan, wow...I'd love to listen to (read) your stories some time. :)

Education: M.S. in biological engineering.
Interests: a lot. Movies, series, football, hanging out with friends, etc.
Knowledge: Not much!
Talents: I can move my thumbs around each other (both ways).
Language: Persian, Swedish, English, Zargari

Oh no you didn't.
artavile 05-26-2009, 05:13 PM Rasoul jan, isn't zanjan part of Qazvin province? ;)
Not exactly, from what I know. Rumor has it that Zanjan is a favorite "playground" for Qazvini elite....if you know what I mean. Of course this could all be nothing but an urban legand, I am sure Rasoul could set us straight. ;)

R.T jAn,
Every one old, young and mid-age call it "ZangAn", I guess we are the only Iranian not to give up for arabization of persian "G" to "J", although GorgAnis are a step ahead by officially converting "JorjAn".

No! ZangAn has her own province and for some time Qazvin was part of it, although we never dealt with them or had any contact. We never past through it either until they built that "LOOP" which bypasses the city completely.

Bi-Honar 06-01-2009, 10:36 PM Rasoul jaan, that is indeed a very impressive resume. And you were still being all modest saying you didn't know if you'd make a good team leader!
And I didn't know you opened your own automotive shop. It's great to be working on something you're so passionate about. Congratulations. :)

Bi-Honar 09-22-2009, 08:08 PM Sweet Baby Jesus! I was actually looking for this thread a couple of months ago to see if anyone had been to Rio and it's safe (they had some great sales on airfare) and couldn't find it, so I missed out on a dream trip to Rio. :)
Patience is definitely not one of my strong suits, so thanks for the BTT Commander. BTW, nice signature - very Treky ;)

Mr, G.
2 of my clients (husband & wife) took a trip to Rio and upon return they shared their experiences with me. The highlight was them getting robbed in broad daylight by armed men while taking care of their itinerary.
Chile is a better choice in that region, or Argentina. Peru is not bad either.

How about "Member Introduction" ? You might want to add "New" to it too.

Yeah thanks, I already thought about changing it to something like Introduce yourself or what you said. Or just start a new thread to make it more tidy, add a thing or two, fav this or that maybe, a new thread is better for activity also cause than those who have already posted can post again. I think its good for the community to know more about eachother, especially those we dont know that well yet, its also good for networking.
Made a new thread;http://iraniancorner.net/showthread.php?t=3167
raminio05 01-24-2010, 03:34 AM Wow, going through this thread again reminds me of how time flys. It took me back to when i first joined, and if theres one thing that i'm very grateful of when it come to IC, it's the fact that i feel that i have gotten so much closer to all of you guys in such a short amount of time. And thats without even having met you in person.
