I remember in ISP when I copy-pasted a html page, like from a cnn article the page would appear with pictures & text exactly like the original source. but here only simple text gets pasted.

nope. it dont work. thats just suppose to remove any text formatting.

try it yourself. copy soemthing say from cnn.com . hedlines are usually bigegr fonts & bold. when u paste it here it all turns to text. same with pictures. u cant copy paste pics here either. I have to insert each image using the icon manually.

I did try it with the article I posted on the Arab League. Turn it on, and then try pasting it.
