bbc is the international tribune for the akhounds. I don't see why you are suprised.

All major websites have the uprising as their headline and bbc has AN's poster on its front page.

BBC Persian is completely down on one transponder from what I've seen, but still working on Telestar 12 (?) I think. Keyvan, BBC Persian actually had great coverage of the events. I watched it the whole day.

bbc persian is run by Masoud e Behnoud who used to eat out of shah's pocket and now he is eating out of akhound's pocket.

He had a program on friday afternoons on channel 1 in Iran prior to the revolution in which he portrayed khomeini as a messiah and shah was graceful enough to allow him to broadcast.

bad ham ke enghelaab shod akhound haam maadaresho gaeedan.

BBC used to report (during the islamic take over) that women and children are being turned into spaghetti under tanks in mash-had.
loooooooooooooooooool

people wake up please.

A decoy to show they are impartial.
BBC acted like a total communication network for khomeinist group while he was in that whore and lipstick producing country.
This was absolutely vital for islamist to convey their nonstop propaganda at a time even personal computer was not invented.
Add to that the $750 million contribution from jimmy "The Peanut" carter which was deposited in khomeini's account.

Actually, they weren't impartial at all. They only presented one view, as much as they tried to say they're being impartial, and that was the vote is most likely fixed, the people are upset and the situation's growing. Which was really the only view I wanted to see ;)

I think all Iranians (including news anchors and reporters on BBC Persian) have been very emotional and excited to see that maybe we will get off our asses some day, so maybe network policy didn't really play a part and this was my first time tuning into the channel.

I think BBC persian were not taking any sides in this & they were the only news station covering this as it should have been covered.
