I looked at the most embaressing video on CNN on the protest in LA today. It made me saddened and embarressed. It shows some people with Shiro Khorshid flags there beside other Iranians. They are all there supporting the same cause, cheering for our University students and .... Some how a fight breaks down, a young woman attacks an old lady with shir va khorshid flag and tells her she can not wave that flag bc it belong to SHAH !!!!!! How stupid ?? When are we going to learn to unite behind the same cause !!! So what if her flag had a different symbol ??? Doesn't the 3 color reprsent Iran ??!!! Aren't we there to support Iranian students and people ???!!! Why drift the attention to this silly SHIT so that it goes in the front page of CNN !!!!!! Instead of talk about our people and our robbed election !!!!! I don't care who is right or who is wrong and which flag is right and which flag is worng and .........;.. we had these disscutions before, we can have them in future and ........ However, right now is not the time Right now is the time to stay united , right now is time to think about the our poor people dying under the facist hands of this regime. I am sooooo mad by this video right now .

Shahin jaan I agree with you fully.

The same problem arises here in Sweden.

Communists, Mujahed, Shahi, and then the others who want democracy have the same issue, always.

the worst are the Mujahed and Shahi who ALWAYS bring their own agenda to every rally.

But the biggest problem is not that they are there, but that they interrupt everything to give their own SHOAR and agenda.

EVERYBODY should unite behind Democracy, and after that if we manage to get it through democracy try to win peoples opinion on why their ideology is the better one for the Iranian people.

The funny thins is that shirokhorshid flag does not belong to Shah. It belongs to Iran. The Shah flag had a crown on top of the khorshid. The pure Iran flag is shirokhorshid with no allaho akbar and no taaj.
People can be stupid to start a fight over the flag at this stage.

Pouya Jan, the key is staying united. I have no problem with any oppsotion groups attending these demonstrations, carrying their own flags and ...., as long as they are chanting the same slogans in support of what is happening in Iran right now.

In this video, the group that was carrying the shiro khorshid, were not even chanting any slogans in terms i=of supporting Shah or ...

Also, what is differnce between us and the Basiji thugs, if we are going to attack abd use violence against people who do not share the same views as us !!!! That women in the video, used forced to porve her point. In my opinion, she and her supposrters are no difference than the thug basiji and our embaressment to the cause.

Behrouz Aziz, You have a very valid point. We hear the stories about how bad LA Persian are ( the ones who lived there for a long time and ....) But I lived in LA for 3 years. There are two groups now, The old LA people, and the new university stidents who come from IRAN and starting life there.

I was an outsider to both group being a refugee and living in Canada and getting my education there and .... Belive me when I tell u, there are fanetisim on both side. Some of our new generation is soo brain washed by this regime that they not even understand and can not differentiate between fact and fiction.

you point about the flag is a classic example of this.

Ashtar had a post in ISP which he said ( although promoting his own agenda) that if Iranians are even ready for democracy !!! Sometimes I start to doubt that.

Shahin jaan i didn't see it but i agree with you. It's beyond dissapointing. But one does get pissed off.

I was at a rally today in Sacramento and i was watching this lady with a shir 0 khorshid flag give an interview. She didn't say one word about those killed, the stolen votes, the beatings, the fraud, the coup d'etat, etc. All she talked about was the flag and the destruction of the Jomhooriye Eslami. To be honest, it really pissed me off. I wanted to ask her what was wrong with her. With all the innocent blood spilled, all she wants to do is talk about a flag?

Yeah I was there and saw it. Were you?
Khak bar sareshoon. When will they become "adam" and try to understand the right time to start with their agendas.

That's the problem man. At least here in Stockholm, they didn't chant the same slogans. They chanted their own slogans, interrupting the others. Extremely disturbing and embarassing. The thing is that even in the persian radio here, they said time after time, do NOT bring any Iran flags for the demonstration to avoid different agendas. They said time after time, this rally is just for the sympathy for the demonstrating and killed students and for the cheating in the election.

Still some people seem to be from outter space or come from "poshte kooh".

What can you say....

Did you see the mujahedin or the communists or who ever with a big red flag at the end, who just stood there, chanting their own agendas? When we got back from the "mynttorget", they were still in sergelstorg with their 20 people, shouting. :D

Haha, yeah I did. And it was pittyful. When we started our march they had just arrived and they stood beside us and were chanting some slogans while we were going up the stairs.
