Gentlmen,

At the moment the Vbulletin logo is coming up on Facebook and Google pages and possibly other places which we have not come across yet. As such, I think it's a good idea to replace the Vbulletin Logo with our own. Since we're still pitzing around with the site name, I think a meaningful, yet generic logo can serve our purpose both at the moment and after a site name change.

I'm proposing the image in my Avatar. I purchased this image a while ago (it was quite expensive too) and I've photoshpped it to add the tattoo of the cat as well as a few subtle details, such as the Iranian flag at the tip of the arrow. It's as Iranian as we can get I think, without being too Iranian. It's just a nice image in other words for those who don't know the story behind Arash K. I'm obviously willing to change my Avatar if we go with this logo (P.S. I did already).

It is generic enough, yet has some custome made Iranian stuff in it.

I think the archer Idea is good, but it should be less detailed, Logo's are never too detailed. So just the outlines/Important lines or something like that and not persé the outlines of this image altough that would be easier bc we dont have anyone that draws on the computer (Atleast dont think we do). So, no to this Pic, but a maybe on the Idea, might be good.

Kaesra jaan, a bold LOGO is exactly what we need to set us apart now.

IMHO, all we need to do is figure out what out site name is, and find a way to incorporate the text to a logo like that.

I think for a temporary basis it is OK. But we need to think find something else.

We could also try a picture of Meydoon shahyad. Has anyone used that for their logo?

Kasra jaan, I gave this some more thought and we can actually make the black background transparent. That way, you'll basically get the archer, kind of as an outline, without the borders and any of the black parts. Instead of those, the background for each skind will show up there. What do you think about that?

Yeah it might be good but I kinda already thought that would happen anyway, I still think in the long run a logo needs to be easy to reproduce. Simple but good. This might still be simple enough, I dont know.

No, of course you don't have to vote. I'm pretty sure it's your constitutional right in Holland to not say something when you don't want to - it's called taking the 5th (i.e. 5th Amendment in the US). I'm not sure if you're allowed to discriminate against yourself on the basis of age though ;)

By the way, if the new site name had Arash or something like that in it, then that archer dude would be a perfect logo.

You mean like TArash or KhArash? ;) Actually, come to think of it Kharash has a pretty bad double meaning too :spinface:

Kamangeer.com is available and so is Tiregan.com (associated with Arash).

And then there are the double plays with the word "kaman". For example GhalamKaman could mean people without a pen (i.e. writing on the computer) or those whose writing is the arch. There's also ZoorKaman for a nice and completely contradcitory doube meanings! ;) By the way the Farsi short form for that last suggesstion is Zek! :) I think you'd be the best person to come up with something witty and catchy on that Hamid jaan.
