Great to be here I.Z jAn,
I think I'll miss some of those LOCALs who have been owned by I.Z, Behrouz Shahin, Toofan and some time Motori so many times.
I'll try to see if I can lure couple of them here in T.I.F and continue humorous festivities.

Welcome friend and trust me your English is better than some Americans I have encountered. At least you seem to understand basic grammar and spelling so that's a start. I know how you feel when it comes to learning a new language. Right now I'm working on my Persian I am starting the 3rd grade and it is difficult to learn a foreign language.
My best advice to you is to reed as many English books you can from good writers like Ernest Hemingway, John Steinbeck, and Charles Dickens just to name a few. Hemingway and Steinbeck were American writers and Charles Dickens was an English writer. They are my three favorite writers and your English will improve greatly if you read all of their books.
Cheers and welcome my friend good luck to you.
BTW I downloaded IE spell on my computer and you can check your spelling when you post online. If you are ever in doubt about a word you can always go to IE spell.

In any ways glad to be here.

That is not true Sherwin jAn,
My english is not too bad but comparing to people like Kaz, Baahonar, Meehandoost. Folepenalt and many others I still need to burn plenty of midnight oil.
Motori 04-21-2009, 04:12 PM Welcome agha Rasoul!

Man!! I really missed your great sense of humor and witty satire and was pizzed when I learned you were blocked and your reemergence as NuGeo cast some hope on me which didn't not last much either.
I've got to share a secret with you. Back then when I saw your user name for the first time I read it " a.laila" (a.laylA) and I thought you were a girl and for a while I was adjusting my responses to you accordingly which probably made you think that I'm kinda weird.....:D:D:D
Iranpaak is still in ISP mostly viewing Football forums.

Thank you Rasoul jaan, but it has honestly been a collective effort. I was and only remain the idea guy, fire starter, $hit disturbor, whatever you like to call it, but if it wasn't for pepople like Pedram, Commander Data (Kasra), Smiley Master (Hamid), Behrooz, Ramin, Sly and our top posters and contributors like Shahin, Nader, IZ, Kaz, Toofan, all the Ali's, Ramin (RDA), etc., etc., etc. (in no particular order BTW), this forum would be as dead as the Dodo.
So hats off to the whole gang for creating and contributing to this beautiful hang-out and I only hope that it will grow bigger and better with the presence of people like yourself.

Chakerim AghA behrouz,
TBH with you this Board really feel cozy already.
When I'm opening a long thread I always type it in a notepad or ms Word and then copy/paste it where ever I need to post. This past Saturday I did a lot of research and gathered bunch of info. about Chinese Grand Prix, edited it all the way then I copied finished text opened up ISP just to know the site was down for maintenance, I came back after several hours and still was down, so I lost the interest and let it go.
I saw the race and truly enjoyed it. After all these years of either Ferrari or McLaren, FIA has finally amalgamated some excitement into F1 and races are getting more exciting than ever.
I'm happy for Sabi Vettel and Mark Weber, Red Bull team did an excellent job altogether taking the first and second spot on the podium, Good for them.

Nice one Rasoul. Please post your analyses here in the future as well. I lookforward to reading it.
I am again excited about F1 because there isn't just the predictable two teams that used to dominate every race. The unpredictability is a good thing. Brawn has been astonishing and I bet Honda are kicking themselves. Also, I bet DC wishes he had held on to his seat for another season :)
Welcome Motori! I don't know if you remember me, but a few years back you helped me diagnose an electrical fault in my car from across the world :D

AghA Behrouz,
I think Vettel and Weber are doing just fine and I don't think DC was able to perform any better. He was wise enough to let go before he was seriously hurt, this goes to Rubens as well, the only older driver who has been in F1 longer than him was Richardo Patraizzi and if Rubens stay 1 more year the record will be tied and 2 years he will break Richardo's standing.
Some of these drivers need to learn some lessons from Senna's accident and Shummy's early departure.

Ali jAn,
Here is my humble opinion about ISP. After my initial registration back in Agu. of 2005 it did not take me long to realize that ISP is not a general discussion board but IranSportsPress is actually a private business so they constantly have to take some measure to protect, we might think some time those measures are extreme from our POV but They don't look at that way.
Imagine this hypothetical scenario; They let anti-IRI activity go out of control and a regime supporter with a tad of computer knowledge hacks the site for couple of days or so, imagine their lost.
I'm not defending any body I'm just saying from the start we all knew that they are more kind to regime supporters than the opponents and we should have accepted the fact.
agha dokhtar, pesar nadare...ma ke dige az mardii chizi azamoon baghi namoonde va pir o az kar oftade shoodim..vali alila is the reflection of ALI in the mirror...al I la .
AghA joon maa'yoosemoon kardi beh khodA, beh hamin sAdegi dAri give up mikoni?;)
You are too sophisticated for me, if you haven't mention any thing about mirror image I would continue thinking alila has some thing do with Ali being in Los Angles or Louisiana..:D:D

Eye eye Sir, We'll do.
Bi-Honar 04-24-2009, 05:50 PM Bah bah Rasoul jaan, I will definitely remeber that one and have always been very proud of my Azari heritage (more so than the other side, just between us ;)) Not to mention that the food and sweets have been great. Dying for some good Shorba :)
al I la: Absolutely brilliant mate. :) Jensesh khoob boodeh mesle in keh? ;)
I had also thought about alila and the possibility of him being in LA but then since I knew he wasn't in LA I thought it was the mirror image thingy.
On a related note, one of my friends named he daughter Ila, which is the mirror image of Ali.
Bi-Honar 04-24-2009, 07:05 PM Strange, this whole issue of Ali and the mirror. Remember those couple of mystic pieces I wrote on ISP? Well, there were supposed to be 12 of them, one for each month and I never got to finsh the whole series. The first one was about Ali. The third one was about the mirror (i.e. man's own image)!!!
They were supposed to represent, the 12 steps to the Iranian evolution - i.e. a rise in consiousness of the nation. But let's not go to deep right now. Here's the first piece,
------------------------
I Had A Dream…
Farvardeen
An angelic figure appeared before you…
“Are you an angel?” You said.
“No, I’m Ali - the savior of your people.”
“My people?!”
“They are as much Your people as You are one of theirs,”
He then turned to me,
“You have chosen to be blind!”
I was mesmerized... Too many times I had been blind.
“Have you forgotten the identity I helped preserve?” He asked.
I could not answer.
“Have you forgotten the fathers of your father?”
“I have!”
“Have you forgotten your land?”
“I have not.”
“A land is forgotten when it has no identity... The identity I helped your fathers preserve - the fathers you have forgotten.”
I was embarrassed but found my composure,
“Who were my fathers and what is the identity I am so blind to?!”
“They have always been the children of God...
"... That is the identity you have forgotten, the identity I helped preserve.”
I opened my eyes…
To as far back in history as I could see,
The fathers of my father,
Had declared to be the children of God.
Could I profess otherwise,
Without forgetting my fathers?
Without forgetting my land,
The land whose message has always been God?
The sun was coming up,
In a far away land.
And I thought of my dream,
‘Till the sun rose again… In My far away land.
Behrou G.
----------------
I Had A Dream…
Khordad
I walked through a desert…
Climbed the mountain,
Crossed a green valley,
Swam across the waters.
Sought guidance, high and low.
It appeared to me in a strange form…
I stood facing the mirror,
Therein a reflection of my face,
But then I looked closer…
The many faces of the past.
NEVER Completed. I found it was very difficult to keep the original structure of 1x1, 1x4, 1x1, 2x4, 1x1, 4x4 throughour all the pieces as a tribute to great Persian poets. But I think I will get back on that. Thank you for the inspiration guys :)
