Not problem PJ, I figured since you are a TV personality ;) you won’t have the time for little things like this. :NoTooth:

p.s., for those of you not getting the joke, we’ll explain to you next month. :)

Thanx for the clips RT jAn,
And kudos to all Iranians and non-Iranians who participated in this solidarity march. I'm sure it means a lot to Iranian freedom seekers inside Iran.

Funny news:
For the first time in 29 years IRIB showed Iranian women bee hejaab with tank-tops protesting in New York, including Googoosh which they called her a Los Angles singer.
I guess their aim was to show how demoralized Iranian diaspora is but at the other hand they showed the whole nation that Iranians are not alone and they can count on support from outside.
London was among the cities around the world with largest number of the crowd and IRIB claimed the number of journalists were more than the protesters. hahaha I never knew what the true meaning of the word desperation is.

I'll find the link for U-Tube.

Behrou jan, if Hamid says he is going to save it for next month, all I can say is no comment. ;)
about Babak Talebi, he was the organizer of this event. They had asked in their flyer and in their permit not to bring any flags. I don't know if this is only in DC or everywhere, but here there are a lot of people who don't want to bring Shiro Khorshid flags because they want to follow the lead from the people in Iran.
But there is this other group who gathers people and gives them Shiro khorshid flags and come to the events with the purpose of crashing the party. Some of them are rude and aggressive.
I think both parties are taking it a bit too far, and this should get resolved by talking and involvement from both sides. But the way it is right now, the people with flag come to every event organized by the other group and say this is a free country and we can do whatever we want. They call Babak and the rest of the organizers Basijis. To counter, Babak and his group ask police to throw out the people with flag.
Is there any such confrontations in other cities?

Yeah, I heard there was a minor incident in the very first Toronto demo about the flag and shiro-khorsheed. In that particular case, some guy was very rude and tried to grab the flag from someone else and started screaming at them (again from what I heard). This is obviously very different from the DC case.

I agree with you completely on the issue. I think both sides need to resolve this issue together and the shiro-khorshidi's need to be a little more accomodating and undestanding. From what I saw on the video, Babak wasn't really being rude or anything, but saying that they were asked not to bring the flags. So, I was really surprised to see all the negative comments on YouTube about him and that's why I brought it up.

Having said that, I don't think there should be such excessive sensitivities about the flag either. We should look at things that unite us, not those things that cause divisions IMHO. If you want to protest against human rights violations and prisoner abuse and you're a Shahi, then come on down. Hell, come on down even if you want to bring an Indian flag! I mean, this is why the rest of the world gets ahead and we're always stuck at the bottom in Mauro-Pelleh! So, I hope both sides in DC resolve these petty differences and don't cause public embaressment like this for Iranians all over YouTube! I haven't had a chance to watch the rest of the clips from that demo (only the one with the trouble!).

BTW, we're really looking forward to next month. I'm just curious now, what this things is with you as a TV personality - I'm just hoping and PRAYING that it doesn't involve a goat! :)
