Ladies & Gentlmen,

I am pleased to announce our first of many constests for original articles on the current state of affairs in Iran's Football. Articles shall be submitted under this thread and the winning article, as evaluated and selected by the members of the forum will receive a $50 cash prize! So, get your pens dipped in some wild ink and let your mind loose, because there's going to be some real good articles to beat, I'm sure.

Contest Rules

* The Contest is open to all registered members of the forum. New members registering between now and the deadline do also qualify.

* All submissions must be original and written by the member (i.e. no submission for third parties or articles which have been previously published via electronic or paper media).

* All submissions must be received (posted here) by 12:00 p.m. CET on May 15th, 2009. There will be no exceptions and late entries will not be accepted.

* Threads in this forum are moderated. This is to insure that only articles will be posted as a new thread. All comments related to the article must be made under that particular thread/article.

* You can rate each article, using the "Rate Thread" option at the top right hand corner of the thread.

* The article with the highest rating as voted upon by the members and on completion of the contest (i.e. at the deadline) will receive the cash prize. It is therfore imperative that you submit the articles as soon as possible for it to receive the best exposure (i.e. provide members with enough time to see it, read it, digest it and rate it).

* Articles may be written in English or Persian, although Farsi articles may limit your audience.

* The article must be about the current state of affairs in Iran's football, including but not limited to the IPL season. Daei's sacking, MK's appointment and other hot topics in Iran's football.

* All submitted articles will become the property of the site, but the author reserves the right to distribute the article to other portals with the advanced consent of the site (hereby given), provided the site is mentioned as the owner of the article and any finanical proceeds from other portals are split between the author and the site on a 50/50 basis.

Good luck to you all on.

Excellent idea and just heads up if you write your article in Persian, it might be a good idea to at least write your bullet points in English. Some people like yours truly are trying to learn Persian, but we are not up to that level yet where we can write an article or read it and understand everything 100%. This is a brilliant idea though I really like it.

Another question, can there be more than one submission per person?

Unfortunately I don't know enough about Iranian football right now so I will sit this one out! I will read everyone's contributions and vote however.

I posted an article in a new thread, but it says a moderator must approve it.

* Threads in this forum are moderated. This is to insure that only articles will be posted as a new thread. All comments related to the article must be made under that particular thread/article.

And yes, multiple submissions are allowed. :) They would obviously go in a new thread though.
