View Full Version : Midweek EPL games
Behrooz_C 04-21-2009, 10:15 PM This is a crucial two days of games with the top 4 all in action.
Tonight:
Liverpool vs Arsenal
Tomorrow:
Chelsea vs Everton
Manchester United vs Portsmouth
HT 1-0 to the Arse
Behrooz_C 04-21-2009, 10:17 PM Scrap that.
It's 2-1 to Liverpool now. They came out all guns blazing in the 2nd half.
Kaesra 04-21-2009, 11:07 PM Ended in 4-4. Arshavin was the only arsenal player on the pitch it seemed and the Pool defenders were handing out treats to him, Its was class too though.
A bit sad for Pool, but defence did just give it away.
We'll see what happens.
raminio05 04-22-2009, 01:34 AM Wow. Another 4-4 for liverpool. I was at school so i didn't see the game. I'll look for highlights and post them when i find them.

Noosheh jaan. More complete highlights will be posted later.
What a player this Arshavin is.
Behrooz_C 04-22-2009, 08:36 AM Where did the ref get 6 minutes of extra time? I thought Liverpool would score again.
p.s. I hope Solvestre plays against United in the CL ;)
raminio05 04-22-2009, 08:16 PM your supposed to get a minute or so for every goal scored.
I really hope that Djourou is back in time for the Man U game. Silvestre just looks out of it.
Kaesra 04-22-2009, 09:11 PM Both games are on now, Rojadirecta.com for the links I'll be following chelsea-everton.
10' Chelsea 0 - 0 Everton
10' Manchester U. 1 - 0 Portsmouth
Behrooz_C 04-22-2009, 09:12 PM United's goal was a beauty. A tap in from Rooney but the passing that led to it was United at their best.
Behrooz_C 04-22-2009, 10:14 PM Once again, Ronaldo plays like a man who doesn't want to be there. Everything he does is wrong. United playing effectively with 10 men.
Kaesra 04-22-2009, 10:23 PM Terry had a nice shot with his left, Chelsea pushing but nothing out of it yet
Behrooz_C 04-22-2009, 10:30 PM Rafael replaces O'shea who earlier replaced Neville. Both the latter are injured!
Behrooz_C 04-22-2009, 10:35 PM Pompey will score near the end and this game will finish 1-1 :(
Kaesra 04-22-2009, 10:36 PM Big chance lampard shot blocked
Kaesra 04-22-2009, 10:38 PM Kalou header over ...
DI santo in Malouda out.
Chelsea need to up the pace, for the everton wall to be breached, I think its time for di santo to score.
Behrooz_C 04-22-2009, 10:44 PM 2-0 Carrick
Kaesra 04-22-2009, 10:45 PM 86' Manchester U. 2 - 0 Portsmouth
Behrooz_C 04-22-2009, 10:54 PM Chelsea will score at the last second!
Kaesra 04-22-2009, 10:54 PM Drogba hits bar.
Behrooz_C 04-22-2009, 10:55 PM 6 minutes extra time!!!!?
Will they play until Chelsea scores?
Kaesra 04-22-2009, 10:57 PM FT Chelsea 0 - 0 Everton
FT Manchester U. 2 - 0 Portsmouth
Low paced game, Manu this weeks victor.
Behrooz the extra time was granted, bc of Cech's collision with Yo.
Behrooz_C 04-22-2009, 11:00 PM Oh, ok. I was readinig the BBC update page and they didn't say anything about it.
United have a good advantage now. A win against Spurs at the weekend will be very important for the run in.
Kaesra 04-22-2009, 11:05 PM I wont congratulate to soon (maybe I should but I wont concede :D), but Manu did make a big step.
United in the driving seat. Although, you never know the kind of affect their CL ties could have on them. Hopefully, they get crushed and have plenty of injuries :p.
SirAlex 04-23-2009, 07:22 PM United in the driving seat. Although, you never know the kind of affect their CL ties could have on them. Hopefully, they get crushed and have plenty of injuries :p.
no biggies bro, SAF was a lethal striker back in the days, and he can play better upfront than Berba these days. :Woot_Jump:
