Javad Nekounam and Masoud Shojaei both had their contracts rescinded by Osasuna after a night on the town, the club's website reported after hackers had their way.

The Pamplona-based outfit's official front page was changed by computer experts, who re-wrote the headline news and replaced it with a story that suggested two of the club's most consistent performers had left.

Early on Wednesday morning the news appeared that Nekounam and Masoud had been involved in a bar brawl and the Primera Division side had chosen to release the pair.

Hackers expertly posted the story, which some agencies and media outlets took seriously, and the club are now having to reinforce their firewalls and defences.

"Club Atletico Osasuna were obliged to rescind the contracts of the players Masoud Shojaei and Javad Nekounam after an altercation involving these players in a bar in Pamplona," the fake story read.

"The decision was taken in the early hours of the morning after a unanimous vote by the C.A. Osasuna board of directors."

That is actually goes to show how much Neku and Masoud mean to Osasuna that the hackers name them in fake news.

Well I take that back. Shojaei was subbed out in the second half as usual and Nekounam got red carded. Osasuna lost 2-1. :(

I dont know why they always underperform against the smaller teams, they always do great against the top sides and get the points from them, but especially last season they really did bad against the smaller teams, if they want to improve this season they really need to step up against the smaller squads.

Yeah..although this game was away for Osasuna, but still...

Osa arent very lucky with referees either, they got fucked over a couple a times last year and I dont think either of the red cards were deserved after seeing the video, the nekounam incident isnt very clear, but nekou looked like he didnt know what happend and you only give a red for something like this if your absolutely sure, spanish refs act according to how players react alot and I think the tenerife player pulled one over Nekou.

You're right Commander, that first red card for handball was a joke and although it did look like Nekou elbowed the Tenerfie player, it didn't seem intentional and a red was very harsh I think. It looks like Tenerife controlled the game though and lost way too many scoring opportunities.
