1- National Iranian American Council (NIAC) has sent a letter to the Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates, objecting to the repeated usage of the term 'A*** Gulf' by General David Petraeus, commander of US Central Command, when he appeared before the Senate Armed Services Committee on April 1, 2009.

2- Recently IC-News, published by a group of Iranian professionals in New Jersey, reported that American Museum of Natural History in New York is organizing cruise expeditions at which their 'experts' give lectures about history of 'A*** Gulf' Region!

It is a shame that there is no Iranian Government Authority to defend the name of Persian Gulf!

To be honest its too late. Arabs are pumping millions of dollars to get this name changed, & Islaamiq republic is pumping millions of dollars into Palestinians.

so lets face it. Our goverment dont give a shit about persian gulf. I know in fact that all newspapers in Norway (probably rest of scandinavia too) call it arabian gulf. & even the goverment employyes are instructed to call it arabian gulf.

When iranians go to concerts in dubai where artists liek Ebi arent allowed to sing the song khalije fars, then they are supporting this indirectly.

Things like this makes me realise what a messed up nation we are, where people change color/views because of business interest & they sell their vatan & turning a blind eye & act like they donno its happening.

The "malakh-khor" which some of u guys call them apparently have more sense of nationality then us Iranians.

so I say, nooshe jooneshon. arabian gulf it is!
