Welcome to the board Oldman Jan

Missed your posts.

Btw, do not you think it is highly unrealistic for the constitutional monarchy system to replace the current system? In any case the most important goal is to get rid of these Mullahs.

Why are you using the Lion with the Shiite sword. I thought you were not Shiite and Zoroastrian.

CM is the only system that does not allow the culture of the country to be politicized.

Welcome Oldman Aziz.
and thanx to your Hezb (CM) for strongly supporting the Green Movement, putting all political preferences aside for the time being. This is the only way we can win - leave all debates about the form of future government to the post IRI era.

???Ali Jaan, the sign is from the Mashrooteh Majlis and I agree that TAZI sword must go.  Until, we have Mashrooteh Party legally active in Iran, looking to change this symbol is a side issue.  Our goal is to have a system change for now.??Footballeirani, I take it that we have e-met somehow but I can not place you.  Sorry!!  Thanks for your kind words.????I am not after changing Mullahs with CM.??We have to go step by step.  For first step, we must change from theocracy to democracy which majority of Iranians agree on.  Once there is democracy based on HR in power then we all need to learn what type of government would make Iranians more prosper and faster.  In my opinion, CM can do it.  I will promote it in due time but first we need to change SYSTEM and once we have a free system then we can discuss types of governments.??We all have much in common regardless of our political affiliation or lack of it and those are:??1-      Iran??2-      Removal of theocracy??3-      Installing democracy based on HR charter as the system??4-      Keeping religion away from political arena????While we all keep our political affiliation and so long as we agree on the above, we can and MUST unite.  I can provide much more information on this but for now, I think that we need to unite for removal of THEOCRACY and replacing it with DEMOCRACY.  Don’t you agree????

replacing it with DEMOCRACY.  Don’t you agree????

Amen to that.

I personally don't oppose constitutional monarchy at all and think that in the long run a ceremonial role for a king is in line with our culture, tradition and history. Having said that, I'm quite disappointed that the leaders of such a movement would not go to Iran at this important juncture and wait for the waters to be clear before they make a move (i.e. they're not taking an active role in the removal of theocracy). After what happened with the '78 revolution , I think there's a certain distrust among Iranians for any entity that steps in at the last minute to direct "change" (like Khomeini did) rather than taking an active role in it.

I'm obviously not familiar with the knitty gritty details of this party and hopefully you can fill us in, but if I was Reza (Phalvi) for example, I would be on the next plane to Iran to spend some good time in Iranian jails, being tortured and getting a good feel for what happened before the '78 revolution and what's happening now. I think to be a great leader, you need to be in touch with the hardship and suffering of your people. Going back to Iran to support the Green Movement or the people's movement in general is the least a good leader should do at this juncture in time and if it leads to a jail sentence, so be it. It's a small price to pay for one's country and once you become a SYMBOL of the resistance and that change that you seek, you can not be touched.

Just my 2 cents.

Nice to have E-met you.

For obvious reasons, I will not reply to questions on monarch’s roles and responsibilities as this is an issue directly related to type og government but we need to install the correct system. Need be it then perhaps we can exchange on it but now….you agree, I am sure of it.

Nevertheless, presence of an opposition leader (not naming HIM Pahlavi as there are others though not at his stature and level IMPO) inside of Iran is not necessarily jail and torture but execution. What would that gain for the democratic movement? Nothing in my opinion as we have had examples such as Forouhars.

Regime has no reservation on killing ANYONE!!!

So, we can better use these opposition leaders whom I hope to GOD work towards establishing Majlis Mosessesaan and not referendum.

There's no way they can execute him Oldman jaan, on what charges? Also, didn't one of AN's spokespeople say that all Iranians are welcome back to Iran if AN got elected, naming Reza Pahalvi specifically, during the last elections campaign (2005)?
