This is the worst time for a military attack on Iran - and certainly Won't help the Green Movement at this point.

However here is a thought provoking question:

As you know USA still owns the property of it's ex Embassy in Tehran along with several other properties in Tehran and other locations in Iran, which by all international rules are considered US Soil. Also as some of you may know, the property of US Embassy is being used today by the IR to house and deploy Basij and other plain cloth forces to beat-up demonstrators in the Streets of Tehran. Now here is a question:

Would an air raid on this location be considered an attack on Iran?

Masoud jAn,
To get to that location US Air Force will have to fly through Iranian aerospace, any hostile over flying by any foreign force in Iranian airspace is considered as act of war and fierce retaliation will be justified.
True!! that US Embassy and other properties used as US consulate are considered as US sovereign soil but they fail to hold enough value as an objective for full blown war with a nation like Iran.

At the other hand after Embassy seizure, US government compensated its lost (all of it, even a small claim by a small company involved in Iran) by freezing entire Iranian investments and assets in US worth over $22 billion.

Now after all the litigations in courts in which Iranian government did not have any representation there is less than $3 billion left (some say it is 2.2), so it was not so bad for US. Why go to war based on a claim which does not exist.

Now!! Allow me to convey my personal opinion about long conversed and anticipated (ever since inception of Axis of Evil) US military strike against Iran.

All analysts and key-Board generals were (some still are) talking about Natanz. Esfahan, Arak in which the word "Bunker Buster" has always been used. But It will not happen that way.
If US decide to conduct a sustained air raid in Iran they will not risk their lives and highly expensive military assets and go bomb mountains.

They will go after what in military term is called "soft targets" all will be on the open and not heavily defended like nuclear plants do, economic centers, electricity grid, communication, transportation, fossil fuel infrastructure, dams, bridges, water purification centers, military barracks, government buildings, airports, food production and even sewer systems, that is because without the above uranium enrichment plants will not function for a long long time, nothing will.

Will we be able to recover after such a devastation? or the whole nation will collapse? just like Yugoslavia, it does not exist any more.
