AFC - The AFC has agreed to simultaneous kick-offs for Match Day 6 games of Group E in the AFC Asian Cup 2011 qualifiers.
The kick-off time for the match between Iran and Thailand on 3 March, 2010 will now be at 1930hrs local time at Azadi Stadium in Tehran.
The AFC cited sporting reasons for changing the kick-off times. The other match in the group between Jordan and Singapore, in Amman, will be played at 1800hrs local time, which is simultaneous to the Iran-Thailand clash, taking into account time zones.
“Due to the demand of sporting reasons in Group E standings prior to the final match day on March 3, 2010, and taking into consideration time zones, the AFC Secretariat has decided to fix the kick-off time of Iran vs Thailand as 1930hrs local time,” the AFC said in a letter to the Iran Football Federation.
Iran have already qualified for the AFC Asian Cup 2011 finals with 10 points from five matches in Group E with the remaining berth is still up for grabs.
Thailand and Singapore both have six points while bottom team Jordan, on five points, also stand a chance to jump up to second.

Would have helped if our last WC game was played simultaniously, N.Koreans went for the draw straight from the get go.
