It was my personal experiment to know that Ants also have funeral, they carry their dead and pile them up in 1 spot adjacent to the mound.

One day I sprayed an Ant Mound with Diazenon when I passed by in about 30 minutes I noticed they are carrying all their dead to 1 spot and leave them there.

After that I never used any ant killer ever again, instead I use organic replant. The best is Cedar chips or dust, just sprinkle on the mound and they will leave your property and go some where else.
