This thread may come a bit late, since our Montreal members are out of luck already. But instead the Caps are koolaak. They came back from 3-1 deficit in the best of 7 series to beat the NY Rangers in game 7 last night.
I would love to hear what our Hokey fans think about their chances of going deeper in the playoffs.

Going into the playoffs I thought the caps had a big hole in their goal. But since Theodore was replaced by Varly, it has been great. I think they are going to go to the Stanley cup finals.

Finals huh, lol. You didn't see game 1 did you? If it wasn't for Varlamov, the caps were gonna lose it big.

That being said, Caps going into the playoffs had 2 major issues:

1- Theodore. I still don't understand why teams are giving this guy contracts.
2- Defense. Caps have the shakiest D amongst the remaining teams in the race.


In hockey goal scorers win you games. Defense men win you titles.


I predict a 3-1 3-2 win for Pens tonight.

The reason I said they are going to go to the finals is that I think Pittsburg is better than Boston and Carolina. So, if Caps beat them they are most likely going to go to the finals. But I agree that this series is not over by any stretch of imagination. But if Varly can provide the same level of effort Caps have a great chance.

Varlamov is killing it. So is Fleury. But Varlamov's been better, considering his age, and no postseason/NHL experience.


So far Penguins have the upper hand in scoring opportunities. Lets hope 'Varly' can help em grab a 2-0 lead in the series.
