View Full Version : Getting driving license, Iranian style Sly 05-01-2009, 02:27 PM :D  http://news.gooya.com/didaniha/negah/player.php?item=Getting%20driving%20license,%20Iranian%20style artavile 05-01-2009, 03:01 PM Damn, what a nightmare it was to get my drivers license. First time ever, I sat behind a Paykan was when I took the road test! Needless to say, I did not pass as I was not used to it and had to retake the test a few days later after driving around with a PAykon for few hours. Does anyone drive when you are visiting Iran? I do, only after a couple of days of adjustment period. :D Sly 05-01-2009, 03:21 PM Yeah I do too. Although after a good hour of driving in a high traffic time during the day, you get completely exhausted so also for safety reasons, I try to drive at late evenings/nigts when the traffic is a bit less. I have a "pAyeh yek", I passed the driving test with an otuboos 302. artavile 05-01-2009, 07:05 PM LOOL @ Nashee Not to make excuses but I had never shifted gears on a Paykan before, and as luck would have it, he asked my to parellel park, except I did not know how to position it in reverse!! :NoTooth: I think Jenabeh Sarvan spend about 45 seconds with each person before saying, "boro badan beya". LOL PJ 05-01-2009, 07:26 PM Well, if I heard the guy correctly, he said you passed. So, I was going to say that they have become very lenient, as it was much harder to pass a test when I got mine. When I went to Iran in 04 I did drive with an expired driver's license and I got caught too, as I was talking on the phone while driving. But when I showed him my US driver's license the guy let me go. Yeah I do too. Although after a good hour of driving in a high traffic time during the day, you get completely exhausted so also for safety reasons, I try to drive at late evenings/nigts when the traffic is a bit less. Ali jan, I am not sure how much safer it is to drive at night. I think it is actually not safe at all. But I am sure you know that late night people pass traffic lights. :NoTooth: Sly 05-01-2009, 08:57 PM Yeah I know man!! But there are fewer cars on the streets. If you drive slowly, it'll be ok. But at least you wont get exhausted after driving in day time. I usually stop at each intersection, eventhough it's green for me to drive. I check out the other street first before passing the intersection. :D ;) Motori 05-03-2009, 07:42 PM Considering the value of hard foreign currency in Iranian black market i think it is lot safer (cheaper too) to hire a full time local driver with a Samand and have him park the car in front of the house standing by if you need it. Also tell your personal Butler to give him a cup of tea once in a while.:D Behrooz_C 05-03-2009, 09:30 PM I drive in Iran all the time when I go back. I am a very conierate driver here in the UK and obey all the rules but in Iran you just can't! If you do you can never get from A to B, unfortunately. DireStraits 05-03-2009, 09:33 PM He wouldn't pass if it was her. I don't know if you noticed the guy didn't look to the right mirror nor left mirror. Bogh zadan is only allowed to when something dangerous may happen. ________ THREESOME GANGBANG (http://www.fucktube.com/categories/1069/gangbang/videos/1) |
