I have an "ever-green" question for football fans here:

Brazil or Argentina?

FIFA facts:

Coca Cola Ranking:

Brazil 4th
Argentina 6th

WC 2010 table:

Brazil 2nd
Argentina 4th

Head to head:

Brazil win 35 (goal scored 145)
Draw 22
Argentina win 34 (goal scored 149)

FIFA WC:

Brazil (win 5)
Argentina (win 2)

Copa America:

Brazil (win 8)
Argentina (win 14)

Please answer who is your favorit and why?? :dunno:

I may aswell begin.

Argentina!

Not only that God of football (Diego Armando Maradonna) was Argentinian, and any given day he could look DOWN to Pele, but overall Argentina presents good quality football.

Don't let you get blinded by Brazils records.
The most simple way of explain it is:

Brazil = Quantity where Argentina = Quality

Brazil = Javad Yasari where Argentina = Dariush etc

And here is one single example ;)

Two of the most talented teams in the world, picking one over the other is not an easy task.

Having said that, I prefer Brazil because they are relentless throughout the game and I don't recall seeing dirty play nor unsportsmanship behavior from them.

This is a can of worms. I have lost count of the number of times I have seen this argument.
I like both.

So what's next? Pele or Maradona? :)

This question is reminding me of that little skit with you and your buddy in the car Marco jaan! ;)

Brazil of course. They have won the WC five times with no cheating and great play on the field. They have been robbed a few times by cheating of the opposing team. They always play fluid football and no anti-football tactics. If they have a half decent goalie and defense in any WC, they will win it no question asked.

Again, totally agree with PJ!!

Mohammadreza jan, akhe only by seing Brazil's records in the WC and comparing that with Argentina....how can you even say Brazil has got quantity while Argentina quality?

If you want to count good games, entertaining games, fair play, quality, quantity, best attack, most goals scored in the WC by a player, best players who have ever played the game.... you can more or less say Brazil beats Argentina in all aspects. :Oldguy:

In fact, if you want to compare any team with Brazil (although very hard as no team is comparable), then Italy comes closest, followed by Germany. So Argentina has still got a long way to go to even get close. :drinking22:

It's a hard choice, pure talent wise I'd say brasil they produce a whole lot of talents, too much for them to handle at times. The level of creative midds and Strikers they have produced is amazing.

But argentine normally has a more widespread choice of talents with that I mean with Brazilians its more about the technique and the Argentinians also have Physically strong players, fast players, good passers etc etc. Maybe you could say a better team rather than better individuals.

The brazilians however do do better at tournements. But they also tend to be a bit unloyal and follow the money (not sure thats wrong but it makes them less likable)

I dont know, though choice.

Btw I opened the thread again to delete a double post and saw a brazillian dating service add on top of this thread :D It seems the google adsense application has had his say too :D

It depends on what decade to be honest.

Recently, (even with the loss in the South American Final), I would say Argentina.

Their passing and patience is amazing.

dadash, chi brazil quality? Mesle seri-doozi mirizan bazikonaro biroon in all around the worlds leagues. But you don't see too many argentiniens around, do you?
But when you see one, they got class.
Btw. As Rominio05 mentioned, right now at the moment, you can't even compare shitty Brazil with classy Argentina. :Oldguy:

Yeh I see. Ballack/Swinehund & Co or Caneva-whore/Tony Co are way better then Messi/Mascherano & Co.
It sounds logic too me :D

Like Maradona? ;)

BTW as said... that "shitty" Brazil has beaten the "classy" Argentina in terms of all aspects that I mentioned in my post above.

Ballack, Cannavaro and company are old now. But for real, other than Messi, there is no one in Argentina who's really worth mentioning either! :D
