“Iran has been drawn in the toughest group in the World Championship. The U.S. is the all stars team and in my opinion they have a big chance to win the title. I believe that they are the hot favorites to win the championship,” Matic said.

“The Americans have so many good players in terms of physical and technical abilities and I think they will deservedly seize the gold. We are so happy to play them in a big field. Iran have a difficult job in Turkey against Brazil and Croatia who have so many quality players as well. However we will be there to play good and not be an easy opponent for the others,” the 50-year-old Serb added.

The 2010 FIBA World Championship will be held in Turkey from August 28 to September 12.

It says when in the article ali, "The 2010 FIBA World Championship will be held in Turkey from August 28 to September 12." If I can I'll follow the tournament, we dont have a bad team, it aint US level, but it isnt that bad.

Damn.....

I must have been completely brain dead when I asked about the time. Thanks again kasra jan.

We sure do have a good team. Probably the best we have ever had with 2 of our players playing in NBA and if the other half iranian guy joins in, there will be 3. If there is anything we can do, now it's the time. The only problem is that we ended up with a damn tough group. Brazil and Croatia both can win against Iran, let alone the US. I just hope the game against the US wont be too embarrassing.
