Good for them. Negative: I can't believe they still have to till that hard soil with shovels and man power, it is 21st century for Christ sake. Steam powered tractors were introduced to market in 1868. that is 1 & 1/2 centuries ago. artavile 05-12-2009, 05:55 PM I can't believe they still have to till that hard soil with shovels and man power, it is 21st century for Christ sake. Steam powered tractors were introduced to market in 1868. that is 1 & 1/2 centuries ago. I also notice that, it looks like very hard labor. :dunno: But not to worry Motori jan, the way IR making technological progress, these people will be enriching their own uranium in a couple of years, hence no need for tractors. Ironically Teraktor sazi Tabriz (tractor plant) is not far from these people except the products are ending up in Lebenon, Syria and other more important places. :chair: Sly 05-12-2009, 06:58 PM You're welcome Rasoul jan! Yeah I agree with the point you are making. Maybe they're too poor to buy a tractor. I don't know. BTW, another positive thing was that the little shepherd was reading his school book while working. Well, on a second thought, maybe that's negative too. A boy that young should be in school, not watching over the sheep. Let's hope it was a friday and he was just studying for his "dikteh" for the following saturday morning at school. ;) Motori 05-12-2009, 10:54 PM Sly;4088]You're welcome Rasoul jan! Ali jAn, I don't want to politicize your relaxing thread but I would say it should not matter how poor they are, government could assign a single tractor for about 20 villages and each could have for about 3 days and till the heck out the whole land. I love Iranian Air & Space program but c'mon! the notion of having a satellite in lower orbit and people tilling land with shovels and bare hands looks against common sense. BTW, another positive thing was that the little shepherd was reading his school book while working. Well, on a second thought, maybe that's negative too. They only need to play and go to school till they are at least 15. JMHO |
