It's the name of a company that is the latest to produce ready made microwave ready Persian dishes. Many different combinations of Chelo and Khoresht are produced - which I am sure they all taste great. The product is being distributed by a company called Nader Trading - and is currently being advertised on Pars TV - I am sure they are already being distributed in CA. But my intention here is not advertising for the product but to critic it's ad!! In the add they have several middle aged Iranian ladies sitting around a dining table, one of them announcing the Allen Foods product to the other ladies while saying: You can now serve these great Iranian gourmet dishes and pretend you made them yourself!!!

Many thoughts come to my mind when I see this ad - all of them bad.

I see your point, encouraging dishonesty is bad.

What were the Farsi words she used? Did she say, something like "Engar khodet Pokkhti" or it more sinister? ;)

I think that's kinda cute actually Masoud jaan. I know the 90's came and went and this type of ad would be considered a little sexist in the West, but I don't think Persian ladies talking about food is really too much of a strech for a commercial. ;)

Thats the tv adds for the lesser known products and especilly those where you can order at home are made, with those cheesy lines and overexcited people, its more funny than anything.

Many thoughts come to my mind when I see this ad - all of them bad.
Were they that good looking, huh? Those thoughts are normal masoud khan ;)

:D Just joking Masoud, I havent seen the ad and it might come of worse if you watch it, but im sure its pretty innocent and just amaturely made.

They openly promote lying and decietful bahavior.
Arti jaan - it goes something like this: bacheha yek khabar khosh daram - hala digeh mitoonim behtarin ghaza haro be mehmoona bedim va begim khodemoon dorost kardim.

Kasra jaan - they were are ugly - otherwise I may have had some good thoughts too!!:wavetowel2:

I don't think it has anything to do with promoting dishonesty. Kraft, Sysco, General Mills and many others do it all the time.

I won't have any interest for the products though, I make Persian food and when our lady friends and relatives eat them their jaws drop.

No one has ever been even close to match Motori's Ghormeh Sabzi Shaahaaneh.

Recipe upon request.;)

Motori jaan - you got to see the ad to realize how bad it is.
one of the women to her friends: hala digeh mitoonin hame joor ghaza rooye miz bechinin begin khodetoon dorost kardin...
another women in response: eva efi joon to behtarin doosti ro be ma mikoni!!

Actualy I think the product may not be all that bad - could not be worst than all the frozen foods currently in the market - it is the culture of lie and the culture of belitteling women to the role of kolfat taht I have a problem with.

Masoud jan, I watched it but I don't think its that bad, cheese maybe. What I have problem with is the culture of double standard and pretentious that Iranian women are subject to by forced hejab.

IMO, that is teaching our kids to act different (i.e., encourages lie and deception) when they leave their house into public.
