We're definitely in need of a logo for the site and there have been some great submissions from Kasra, Marco and Bardya in different threads, hope I'm not missing anyone.

If you guys would be kind enough to put all the logos in this thread along with any new submissions from anyone out there, the members can make suggestions, select one, etc, so that we can finally add a logo.

Yeah, that's why I asked everyone to post the logos that they posted under different threads. I figured it's a lot easier for everyone to pull it from their hard-drive than for any of us to go and dig them all up from different threads.

Well, why not change the thread name of the other thread with all the logos then ? Because I made a lot of logos and it will be too much work to move them, either merge or change the other threads name.

There were logo suggestions in a few different threads Kasra jaan as far as I remember. If you want to find them and merge all the posts containing logos into this one, I'm totally okay with that.

Well most of the logos made are concepts (mostly just made in paint or something) and need to be fine tuned by a pro anyway and ofcourse with better programms, stuff like removing the union thingy in the flags etc etc. The Idea's are the things that count, even a good discription of a idea can be good if aplicable.

I like these two, with minor modifications like take out the shadow figure out of the first one and taking out the writing out of the second one while adding the tricolour pattern.

Whatever we choose it must be simple and have a corporate look rather than something elaborate and literal.

I think you are getting there. Another suggestion is to make it a bit more colorful. Like the black head is not nice. Maybe make the head white and the body green or something like that.

RT jan, the C is inverted to be part of the corner on the soccer field. although it is not very clear and one could miss it. I also think we should just use the colors and not use any Iran flags (the ball) because one way or another it is going to offend someone. If you put the onion some people think we are promoting IRI and if we don't put it some people will say this is not the right flag. I think we should avoid the flag (the Iran flag and not the one that says Iranian Corner) altogether.

I used a comp image for now, to see if you like them first. They are not expensive to purchase and easy to modify as I have...

I like both, especially the first one although it does look like an existing one, eventhough I dont know from what but it seems familiar. They are better than your first one, although the second in this series might be too football orientated and to specific with the net.

Anyway in the first one I think the 2 blue circular line should remain, I mean behind the I/Eye. And the second one is good but the background is nice but it isn't smart bc we need something that will fit on our site and everything so it should be just the net with white background and ofcourse the iraniancorner part.

Anyway just dont decide anything yet like the last time, dont put a deadline or anything up yet also, I know you want to move fast behrou but it isnt neccesarry. We need more people contributing and in the end we need a thread with all the logos so people can choose and even that thread needs to be up for quite a while so everyone can vote unlike the last thread about the name where only few voted and after the choice we need someone to clean up the logo we have chosen and make it professional looking.

I have accepted that the Iranian flag is with onion and if I were to go to a sporting event and raise a flag that is what I would raise since that is the official flag. But I know that there are a lot of people who are way too sensitive about these things, so since the logo is supposed to be nice and bring more people in, I recommend that we don't put an Iranian flag in the logo and let the colors talk. As for the ball, I was thinking we don't need it either. Since if you bring the ball in, it would gear the site more towards football. We could have another logo that is more football oriented and has the ball and net. But that is just my opinion and whatever the majority thinks is fine with me.

Well, unlike the site name (address) the logo can be changed any time without major problems. I think if we find a logo that is reasonably good we can try it for a few days. Later on if we find a better one we can just change it.

I didn't even try to make a logo yet, the other one that I posted took me like 30 seconds to make. Gimme couple days, and I'll come up with something worth putting up.


I understand IranianCorner isn't only about football, or Iran. Its a place where Iranians meet to discuss all sorts of topics, but I've also noticed that most logos have either a ball, or flag in em. I was thinking of something professional: No cute items, and no flags!

I think the need for a logo died down temporarily bc of the Iran situation, ofcourse the first idea bc of its plain-ness/straightforward-ness is a good one, the second one is too girly considering we have no girls. We should whoever incorparate green in all the ideas.

The 2nd one is actually a logo producing/freelance guy and his site links to this site and this section is for branding work/logo's especially http://www.behance.net/Search?realm=109 .I dont say we should use them but there are good guys who would find this easy work and would do a good job for us, I dont know the cost spectre though.

Did you even visit the sites I gave? Especially the last site is brilliant for what we want. The guy is a free lance worker and he made this in support of the iranian revolution, I think he would be glad if an iranian site chose to have it as their logo, we shouldnt do anything without the artists premision though, we could always buy it its not like the guy would need to make anything new in that case so it would be pretty cheap. I dont think we should go for it unless its cheap bc we can hire and artist to do it for us, how we want it and that also is dependable on the prize, I dont know how much something like that would cost, but sites like deviantart, wich isnt really a logo site but more artwork, have alot of young people who wouldnt mind doing a litle project. We could also decide to chose for a more profesional logo when the site grows bigger wich isnt that bad either.

Anyway I made more new variants. I still think its best to hire someone, either to make a logo for us or smoothen our eventually chosen logos.

We just need to pick a few of the best ones, vote and pick one finalist, put our heads together on how to make it better and then one of us with the most graphics experience can make it into something phenomenal. It's a good fun project for all of us and we'll feel good about having done it ourselves. We managed to pick a name as a team, didn't we? I think we're over-complicating things a bit.

At the very least, let's do this in parallel with Alila getting a quote for the graphics work:

With the logo, we have to see how it looks when it becomes logo. Why don't we use each one of the favorites as our logo for a day or two. Then we can have a final vote.

Everyone has to choose 5 favorites then, we chose the 5 most chosen favorites and them try them on the site.

I have no problem with it, we can change them later on anyway.

YW Hamid jaan. For the logo I used Commander's work, but we also needed some writing (Iranian Corner) and I didn't want to make it just a simple font, so I used elements from the logo + Rasoul's hint of comrades behind bars (which is symbolic of the Green movement at the moment) + the Football corner for the "C". Let me know what you guys think. I also tested it in all Styles (had to reset a few of them) and it looks pretty good IMHO.
