Ajax won its 30th title today in the decisive match between #2 Twente, adding their long awaited 3rd star after the last title in 2004. The biggest club in the world together with Real Madrid. Manu and Barca just won their 19th and respectfully 21st title but 30 is really special and this is a club with actual history and without hundreds of millions of debt like clubs like Barca, Manu and Real which makes it difficult for them to compete in Europe these days.
Frank de boer took over and got this mediocre, especially after Luis Suarez left who is almost singlehandedly reshaping 'Pool as a future title contender, team footballing again and the other team just lost too many points, especially Psv who have been one of the worst footballing teams of the eredivisie after the winterstop and ended 3rd with EL football again :D I believe Frank can be a very big coach in the future and is probably a future Barca coach, as might Cocu be, if Pep doesnt pull a sir Alex. Our next coach after Frank will probably be Bergkamp if he doesnt leave to Arsenal first and I'm happy with their development as I always was a fan of both especially with Dennis and I think everyone remembers the goal against Argentina.
I think F. De boer with the extra preperation time for next season can get Ajax to their level again and chase the title again next season and with a fortunate draw they could go through the next round of CL too. Vertonghen, who is probably the best footballing defender of Europe, will probably leave as will Stekelenburg. Eriksen who is one of the best, if not the best, talent of Europe will probably stay despite interest and grow even more and with some targeted transfers I am hopefull, they cant keep the same team though as they are too weak. Ajax still has the best youth setup and talent growth in the world though eventough every talent gets swept away young, if only they could afford to keep the talents and players, like others do with putting the club in debt, imagine what kind of team they would have, they could put together at least 2 brilliant teams.
