The 32-year-old player has played 112 times for Iran’s national team and scored 36 goals.

“Ali Karimi has always been interested in playing for Persepolis. He will be handed number 8 in Persepolis in coming season,” Persepolis acting president Habib Kashani said.

“By the way, we are negotiating with our coaching options. So far, four coaches have recommended their programs and Persepolis technical committee will choose the best option within the next few days,” Kashani added.

PTV - The technical committee of Persepolis has at last confirmed Hamid Estili as the new coach of Iran's most popular soccer team after the world's all-time leading goalscorer Ali Daei refused to cooperate with the squad.

The 44-year-old Estlili will lead the Reds on the ground for next season's matches. The former Shahin of Bushehr coach took charge of the Tehran-based club on Tuesday after Daei, on vacation in Spain, rebuffed to coach Persepolis under the management of Habib Kashani, Mehr News Agency reported.

Estili's appointment comes as Persepolis' technical committee selected Daei on Monday as the new coach of the soccer team. Daei had earlier expressed willingness to join the club on a blank contract.

Daei had publicly spoken out against Persepolis General Manager Habib Kashani after the Reds claimed the title for the last Play-off Cup in Iran's northern port city of Bandar Anzali more than a week ago.

Despite poor results in Iran's Premier League, Daei propelled Persepolis to win Iran's last Play-off Cup title for the second straight year.

Apperently Bonacic is Sepehan's new coach not Shahin Busher's. Shahin have appointed Hamid Derakhshan as their new coach. Also Nosrati joins Persepolis not esteghlal

I think the two Esfahani teams, specially Sepahan, are trying to be honest going after the salary cap rule, while I'm guessing eses and pespes give the players more money behind the scene and name it "paadaash" or something rather than salary. Hence the players are dropping off and going to the big teams. or else I don't know why the players would leave a winning, ACL qualified team.

Kaesra

Sepehan are losing a lot of players, the whole defensive line is pretty much gone and Zob are hurt with Khalatbari's departure as well and its probably going to get worse for both clubs, altough Zob for the time being could still recover IMO.

Its strange, here you have the only two clubs who are performing in the league and in the ACL and then they look to weaken them in favour of persepolis and esteghlal, you would think they would protect two clubs in the next round of the ACL.

You know rules don't hold to much to the IFF, everyone can do whatever they like and nothing is transparent, all corrupt and shady and everything is disorganized with little future planning only looking max 1/2 years ahead if at all but still one would think there is little to gain in destroying the two clubs who pretty much represented Iran in the last few years and did a good job for it too compared to overall league strength.

Well, I guess money talks and BS walks. The Mafia behind the two big teams are doing their work. I just hope other teams in IPL will be more successful than the big red and blue to give the Mafia a real tough time next season.

To be fair, it isn't just the big two, the entire organization behind IPL is corrupt and backed by shady characters, true some are worse than others.
