Two Iranian football players have been indefinitely suspended due to committing "immoral" acts on the field. Apparently, Persepolis players Mohammed Nosrati and Sheis Rezaei got too excited when their team scored the winning goal against Damash Gilan last Saturday. Footage posted online shows the joyous Persepolis defender Mohammed Nosrati squeezing teammate Sheis Rezaei's bottom in the heat of the excitement!

Persepolis defeated Damash Gilan 3-2 at the end. But the controversy is now brewing, especially since the game was broadcast live to millions of Iranians. According to AFP, the two players have also been fined nearly $40,000 each. Mohammed Nosrati has now been sidelined from the Iran's national team where he was playing for.

Both players were simply joking around and are now suspended "indefinitely"

I think that people are making way too big a deal about this. For me, the only thing that they did wrong was doing something that is considered to be taboo in front of the cameras. Otherwise, shit like this happens every day. Guys who play on sports teams together mess around. It's immature, childish, etc. But it is not because they are gay and it's not the result of guys and girls being kept seperated as some are trying to claim.
