View Full Version : My take on the Indonesia game

* I don't think you can even find a weaker team than Indonesia's U23 team, in Iran.

* Overall I really hope this game was only meant for our players to train crosses from the side, otherwise I thought Daei's team played much better football than Ghotbi's. I was not happy with the way they played at all.

* How on earth can anyone play Haajsafi as a left defender when the kid's strength is in his attacking/play making abilities? I don't care what happened to Ashjari. When Zandi played in the left, infront of Haajsafi, the latter had more runs and created more opportunities than Zandi himself.

* Khalatbari is a MUST in the starting line up. (I would even play him as a striker instead of Borhani/Hashemian and the rest of them).

* Haajsafi, eventhough he played in the back, was the best player of the game for me (together with Kaebi). Damn he's so talented.

* I was not impressed with Zandi at all. Specially when he played in the left (but also in the centre). I don't care how he's been in the league. Other than his freekicks/cornerkicks, IMO he didn't really have anything to offer in this game. I even missed Karimi in the centre and that is bad!

* Kaebi was great. It does show he's got the most experience in TM of them all.

* Very disappointed with Teymourian. IMO, he s*cked big time. I'm beginning to get really nervous because of the absence of Nekounam.

* Eventhough Heydari was fine in the right, I missed Mahdavikia's crosses (and that comes from a guy who thinks Mahdavikia is over). I hope his crosses get better in future games.

* Borhani..what's happened to this kid and his form in Branko's era? If he can't score on easy chances against Indonesia's U23 team, than he can't score against North Korea.

* Our defenders and goalies didn't really have much to do in this game so you can't really say much about them.

Overall, this opponent was too weak. If this was North Korea, and with this line up and tactic in TM, IMO, they would have won the game with 2 or 3 - 0. I really hope Ghotbi has got more to offer than this game, or else our hopes are lost.

If Iran wants to get anywhere it needs to play teams that can test it's defense. Or rather, what use is it to face a team where Borhani can ruin 5-6 goal chances and end up still assisting one and scoring another as if he played well.

I think Ghotbi played Borhani 90 min to give him some confidence. If he scores some goals against a weak team he may start to gain confidence.
Zandi was greate. If he dose not play who should score? The only confident goal scorer
we have is shojaei. If they mark him we cann't score. Therefore Zandi is a must.
Kazemi must leave.
Iran was not testing their defense. Only their goal scoring abilities. Once ther should test
their defense you will see a different team.

football is in crises. Watch Karimis latest apearence an see what you deman from him.

because it's a fucking test game against a non-factor opponent where you try things out and not the fucking world cup final. that's why!

Like no shit genius....

Of course, he will play the A-game in a game where he tries things out. Seriously...

Exactly. We haven't seen nothing yet. But if the tactics of that game was a test, I'm affraid we failed in that test too. Our players have got to raise their games a whole lot more. I hope we'll see a different team against China.

DireSraits jan, how did Zandi show he's a good goalscorer against Indonesia?? He scored a half ok first goal and his shot before the second one couldn't even be considered a shot in our highschool football.

As for Karimi, I have watched his latest games, and unfortunately, the more I watch, the more he adds to my anxiety. :(

Alejandro Sosa dudul tala, baaz to oomadi inja balghoor kardi? Don't you have other things to do, like counting Xavi's and Iniesta's pubic hair?

I pay Ronaldinho to do it...he has nothing else to do, you know.
